Default Estimate on selling price

Good morning to all. I am thinking of selling my street/bracket car and I was wanting opinions on the car's approximate value. Although I know selling boils down to seller's motivation and buyers will to pay, just wanting ball park estimates. The car is a 1980 Grand Am. Engine is 74 block with 62 heads. Heads have gasket match and minor clean up in runners. Lunati valve springs, Ferrea stainless valves, and Harland Sharp 1.6 ratio roller rockers with Comp pushrods. They were also cut just enough to true them up. Block is 4.185 bore, with Eagle steel 4.250 crank, Eagle 6.800 forged H-Beam rods, and Ross pistons. I just freshened up the motor with P series Clevite bearings and new gaskets, including valve stem seals. Cam is Crower solid flat tapet. I believe the number is 60354. It is 264-274 @.050 with .595-.600 lift with the 1.6 rockers. Crower lifters also. Double roller timing chain. Performer RPM intake with Holley HP 1000 carb. Trans is TH 350 which just had new steels and clutches, pilot bushing in input shaft and tail shaft bushing replaced. Will shift in manual at any rpm, or will shift automatically. Has B&M shift improver kit. Brand new, as yet to be tried, freakshow performance 9 inch 4000 stall converter. New u joints. Rear is a Ford 9 inch with Richmond 4.56 gears, spool, and 31 spline Moser axles. Only about 12 passes on the new rear. It has stock, boxed, lower arms with adjustable uppers. UMI performance control arm braces. Brand new MT ET Street tires on Weld Pro Star wheels. I havent made any passes this year with all the new stuff, but I will be racing this weekend. Fuel system is 8 gallon Harwood cell, Mallory 140 at cell with Carter 120 mechanical. Holley regulator which feeds both the carb and the Nitruos system. Wet Sniper system with purge and WOT switch on carb. I have never sprayed this 467 c.i. motor, but a 125 shot on the pump gas 406 picked up 7 tenths in the 1/8th. Stock HEI ignition with weight mods that bring timing in at 2500. The car was running 7.20's the last time out and had spinning 1.58-1.60 60' times. Was running 94.5 MPH. The car should run 7.0's with suspension dialed in. Moroso trick springs front and rear with Summit adjustable shocks. I should be able to get some new numbers this weekend with the new suspension pieces and new tires. Hoping to go 7.0's. I have tried to give all pertinent info, but may have forgotten something. Thanks in advance for opinions.

Mel

C'mon guys. Doesn't anyone have an idea of what the value of a car like this is? Nothing too detail minded, just a guesstimate. I ask because I never sell anything. I usually keep stuff forever. I am not a good salesman.

You basically have a Malibu with a Pontiac Engine. Check out these malibus and see how yours compares. The Grand Ams are fairly popular with the G body folks. Pics would help. JMHO.

Thanks for the responses. I will try and post some pics later. I forgot to mention that an extra 350 trans with the 406 engine that was running consistent 7.70's when pulled and the original 301 motor with the th250 trans goes with it. The 301 was rebuilt and the 250 trans works perfect. They could be pit in a car and driven anywhere. I only put 5000 mies on the original stuff while I was putting the 406 together. The 406 has a stock crank, 4150 forged rods and TRW pistons. Set of 6x heads that have been milled to 90 cc. I bought a 2002 Trans Am street car with 6.0 liter that puts down 454 rwhp and 419 rwt on the dyno at Vengeance Racing in Atlanta Ga. I am looking to get out of racing and enjoy the TA. Pretty nice cruising on the interstate at 75 mph with cruise and AC and get 22 mpg with 500 HP.Thanks again.
