Idle adjustment screw tool
What’s everyone using to adjust the driver’s side mixture screw? I’ve been using a 45 Deg turning tool on my ‘66 but it no longer fits in there since I installed the correct brake booster fitting on the front carb.

I use one like this. You can sneak it in straight from the front on the driver's side. None of the included pieces need to be used, as the end fits directly on the mixture screw.

On the driver's side, it helps if you turn the power brake vacuum line up out of the way.
I use the same flexible tool,, and sometimes, a piece of 1/4" rubber vacuum hose about 6" long.

On the driver's side, it helps if you turn the power brake vacuum line up out of the way.
I use the same flexible tool,, and sometimes, a piece of 1/4" rubber vacuum hose about 6" long.

I've hated adjusting idle mixture on a Tri-Power since 1959. So my GMC requires no tool.
I drilled the screw heads and brazed speedometer cable pieces into them.

I use the same flexible tool pictured. I used some red nail polish to paint a reference line on the tool handle. Makes it easier to keep track of adjustments and keep the idle mixture screws balanced.
