just got off the phone with my painter.will have car back in 2 weeks.might still make the power tour if everything comes together.waiting on pistons for the engine.should have them in about a week.its going to be close!

not for sure on the wheels,but i do have a original set of HURST wheels in the shop.car just got painted today,will have some pics in a few days.after it is back in one piece.

i had scott make those decals in white and black.the white ones for the shaker,the black ones might go on the fenders under the trans am decals.he made me 3 of each,if i dont like the black ones on the fenders,i can take them back off.still waiting for the right pistons,but also did some trading for a ds 303 intake with spacers.block and intake are ds parts,heads have no markings on them-no 4 or 44 anywhere on them.a ds engine.this is about as cool as it gets,in my eyes.

a buddy of mine,i know its hard to believe i have any,just gave me a hpp magazine from june of 1997.they call this block a SEVAKIS ALUMINUM 455.the precurser to the 73-74 455 sd block.limited numbers made in 72 and early 73.date code on mine is A072.dry sump provision just like a sd block.when the article was printed,they had found just 3 of these blocks.cast for gm by by REYNOLDS ALUMINUM.machine work for gm was done at SEVAKIS in detroit.my block never made it to the machining stage.the article is about 4 pages on aluminum pontiac blocks.pretty cool stuff.

more pics,going with the 303 DS intake instead of the 400 rav intake.both intakes are nos. right now! crank is balanced. engine is supposed to be assembled this week.;pick up the car with new paint this week.its FINALLY all coming together.
