I have seen the fender vent screens painted the car color and black. If black is correct should it be flat, semi gloss, or hi gloss? this is for a 1971 TransAm.

On a '71, they should be black. I think they stopped painting the fender extractor grilles black in '73 or '74.

On my '70, I painted them semi-gloss black. I'm not certain which gloss level is absolutely correct, though.

73 and 74 were semi-gloss.
