Put a mirror polish on that thing, it would look like a "crystal skull".

Take it to the scraper and maybe you would get enough money for a cup of coffee at a cheap coffee place, too.

Abomination??? Or secret power manifold????
Not sure about the 1st part of the question, but I'd say back then there were no tunnel rams for Pontiacs. (or any good aftermarket intake really)
So, do what you got to do.

That could be an Offenhauser piece?

Anyway, look this link over, some interesting stuff.

HO-Racing Tunnel Rams

Those Offy manifolds rework in good blower manifolds for standard port heads heads, or for eye candy two have duel quads that's about it these days!

Can't speak about the top "Tunnel Ram" section, but we ran that Offy bottom dual plane with a 1/2" spacer and a little plate system on a 462 in the Grocery Getter in the early days. It ran some 8.50's in that configuration which was really good for 1996-1997. That Offy manifold worked much better than we ever thought it would. Kind of a sleeper, ugly duckling. With that crazy top, the sleeper factor goes away and possibly the performance. Who knows, it might actually work. A casual look at the old "High and Mighty Mopar" and you wouldn't think it would run either!

There where two different Offys if I recall right, the one we have been beating up on in this string and another 2-4bbl model where the runner come off the plenum at a much better angle , but the entry / radius into the runner from the plenum is near zip!
Is that the one you ran?

I think the one we ran looked very much like the one in these pics. It was a low rise, dual plane with small Holley bolt pattern. I think it may have been called a "Port-o-Sonic" . It's been quite a few years and dozens of manifolds ago!.

I think it's older than the movie, which leads me to believe that he movie was inspired by the manifold. LOL.

So would it work?? What would be the point in theory anyway of a manifold like that? Could someone explain this in noob terms?

Did anyone buy it?

Im just curious about the manifold and not adept in the black arts of manifolds.
]
I do think it looks kind of corny. Could you flip it upside down and use two carbs and a single flange manifold? yikes.

Great garage art but probably nothing more.

Whoever bought it got a good deal, a nice Offy dual-quad and a neat conversation piece to go along with it.
