Default 275/60 15 Front Tire

Does anyone know if a 275/60 15 will work on the front of a 70 TA?

255/60 is probably about the limit up front

275/60s belong in the rear, up front I’m sure they’ll rub.

You could always get a pair mounted up for the rear and toss ‘em up front to see….

If you’re wanting all 4 tires the same size then 255/60s are a safe bet.

They will hit when turning sharply.
On heavy bump they hit also.
I used 255/60 on front.

Thanks guys. That's kinda what I thought. Probably OK because a 275 might look weird up front. I'm looking for a taller front tire, not necessarily wider. I have 245s right now with 255 in the back. I could go with a 225/70 but that's fairly skinny. What about a 255/70? That's a 29 inch tire! That may be too tall.

Forgot the 255/70s.

Goofy and tall like a truck tire, even in the rear.

I’d go 255/60 and 275/60 on it since it seems you like staggered sizes.

Yeah, either that or 255/60 all around, that would look good. I need to see where I'm at after the new springs . I'm hoping to get the front up about an inch, close to where it was before. We'll see.

You would need to modify the steering bump stops as the tyre would rub on sway bar long before full lock. The rest of the clearance and rubbing would depends on suspension and height. But no.

I'm also not a fan of 255 all round due to the wider track at the front and larger rear wheel arches. The front fills out, the rears still look lost.

I just bought a set of Year One 8" Snowflakes and have 255 60 R15 Radial T/As all around. They fit nice. I was debating about going with a pair of 275 60 15s for the rear but maybe later.

I run 245/60s up front and 275s out back. They look good and fit fine.

I run 275's on the back of my 70 Formula with 225/70's on the front. Been that way for 26-27 years.

Nitto 275/60R15 drag radials on the rear. Pictured here with Firestone 215/65R15 on the front.....

However later I changed to 245/60-15 on the front for the additional foot print for braking.

You have stock 15” rally wheels on the gold car? 7” wide?
