I am very impressed with the trunk seal. If you watch the video, he shows how well it fits. 99% of the others do NOT fit well.
You can buy 1A auto seals through Jegs I believe too, which might make shipping less.
Its a 30 dollar seal..from 1A auto.. see my linkl.. How could it be $83 bucks? Is Canada post getting that greedy?

Bruce it was $ 53.96 for shipping.....with no other shipping choices from the site for shipping ....so $83.91 then convert to Canadian......crazy
Checked with Jegs don't see a listing for 1A auto ......I see Metro Fairchild softseal ....

Fit is only one area of weatherstrip quality. Compressibility is another. The reason why most go for the uber expensive GM strips is their rubber composition. You never have to slam a door/trunk when the panel is properly adjusted with the OEM strips. They were made of a proprietary blend which made them seal, last a few years, and compress when the panel was closed.

I have done the std newspaper test with this seal, and it does do the job. When you change out deck lids ( or "Boots") you change the original fitment because each decklid's hinges were welded in place for that particular decklid. To get this Really nice, you grind off the welds, take out the torsion springs, set the deck lid on with no seal, weld the hinges , just like the factory did it.
