Bought a one owner Grand Prix with a radio delete option.Thought it was kind of cool so I figured I'd show it on the forum. That will look pretty slick in my street / strip 2+2 .

Now you just need a A/C delete plate

What's cool is that an aftermarket radio wasn't installed. Most people who opted for a factory radio delete did that.
My 80 Lemans can with a factory AM/FM mono, that was a bit unusual by 1980. Dave

Well, some old timers back in the day wanted to save pennies would get cars stipped down. My great uncle got a new '72 fullsize Ford with an I6 and only wanted an AM radio as an option! Said whitewalls were a waste of $$ [agree here]

Chicagoland, that was the same case with my GP.The original owner was a 84 year old lady.I bought the car in an estate sale, one owner car. There was a small battery operated transistor radio in the car when I bought it!

I still remember seeing a mid 80's GP with dog dish hubcaps and no trim being driven by an elderly man. It looked naked.
After the 1988 W bodies, there were no more strippo model Pontiacs, except for the compacts. |

I had a 79 GP a/c rear defrost and radio delete. It was two tone but no vinyl roof. Wierd.

I just finished a 61 Ford convertible a couple a months ago that was unsually optioned. It was a California car that had PS,PB,AC but no radio! The story is that the original owner was a teacher and a newlywed. His reason for this was that if he ordered it with a radio they would listen to the radio instead of talking to each other.
I always wondered if the next car he bought had a radio in it though...
