OO , Red , Atoll , and Polar - were top 4 production on 70 Judge by my studies.
Not necessarily in that order.

Most appraisers don't deduct for slow colors , as long as they are factory correct.
The overall buying market does, however.
And usually quite heavily.
Do a frame off or in-depth on a Verdoro or Pallisaide or Gold tone 70 Ram3 , then get a mop and bucket. This has been proven numerous times.
Sierra Yellow .... death wish deluxe .

Until bleeding heart purists establish a trust fund support group , there is no other form of full compensation. Just more sympathetic well wishes, a mop and a bucket.

At least you aren't worried about resale value.
You just want what you want.
Go look at Bruno's OO resto thread finished product and see if thats what you want
its a Sandalwood car .

Only 2 have been found / documented.
1 with Red interior, 1 with Black
Sandalwood doesn't strike well with White on the few GTO's i have seen in that combo.
Never seen a White Judge with Sandal . fwiw

I did a color change on my judge and regretted it. Since it's such a highly optioned original drivetrain car I would paint it the original color. Plus if you wanna impress the ladies you gotta show them some gold.

Fresh and done correctly, Palisade and the golds are appealing. If faded, these colors look terrible. But I may be subconsciously biased.

This one looks great and was bid up to 55K. Sounds low considering the latest '69 CR results.

Regarding the car in question. Given the options and original drive train, I believe it should be returned to its original color. Personally, I would deduct from its value if it was the wrong color and was interested in buying it. But then value may not be the issue here. What makes the owner happy with the car may be the issue.

I think this car looks spectacular with Sandalwood. Just needs a black wing... LOVE IT!

I've looked at the car a bunch... It just doesn't float my boat.

Going back to the GG/Sandalwood car, perhaps what's holding that car back is the auto trans and not the color?

All these cars are great
Doesn't matter what color or what engine or tranny

All are worth the same amount on every day and draw the same amount of affection and desire.

Its a stroke of luck when anything sells.

More than 2. At Redwing in '01, there were quite a few restored WT7's. Quint Stire's loaded RAIII-auto black int WT7 was there holding court. Know of a few more that have been restored since. Agree Sandalwood int just doesn't fly on a white Judge, I'm not big on OO, have had two OO/sandalwood Ram air 3 Judge projects & kicked both down the road, call me Picky.

Only 2 documented Roger.
We have tried and tried to get various talked about cars brought on here to be documented.

Even Quints old car is not documented.

Several handfuls claim to be WT-7 , but have no proof.
Just being Arlington built and White is not proof.
Not documented proof

not arguing - just saying - we have been at this for years and years
and have 2

...in my appraisals, I didn't deduct for bad colors, only wrong colors

...good colors can add to the selling price and certain colors can add to the appraisal

...I did mostly MOPARS, example

1970 T/A Challenger...all cars the same except for color
...Panther Pink/triple black $85-90k
...red/orange/blue etc $65-75k
...tan, dark green, or any color with green anywhere $55-65k

...tan/green etc painted Pink, $50-65k minus $10k for correct color change...I NEVER added value for an incorrect color, even if it is a more popular color...a so called BAD COLOR is the starting place for value, not the ending place...cars are like girls, the better they look, the more we spend
