Question No reverse on 2000 grand prix!

Hi everyone My ex gf has a 2000 grand prix with a 3.8 and she bought this car with 82,000 miles from the dealer it now has 94,000 miles.. anyway When she bought this car it had the tranny gone through from a local shop and they showed me the warranty it cam with.. We'll Reverse has been acting kinda funny lately we'll today it wont go into reverse. You can rev it up and it wants to move ,but doesnt.. whats wrong with it? The fluid is nice and red and not burnt... Are there reverse solenoids on this tranny? Any help ASAP is greatly appreciated!!!

Dont know of any reverse solenoids on any GMs.
If you can find someone with a scanner to hook up and test then do so.
also may need test gauge hooked up to see whats up.
Ive had many trannys in our sons GTP. TOO much torque for a FWD.
