Default Giving up on the air shifter

I installed an air shifter on my th400 last year mainly for the 1-2 shift because it happens so fast. I ended up using a digital delay controller, Tried using the msd rpm output on the 7al box, but would hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift and be right on the money for the 2-3 shift. Put the digital delay controller in and had to set the 1-2 shift at 6000 to shift at 6400. Well made it to the quarter finals and the dam thing didn't shift, When I finally shifted myself it ended uo finally shifting and putting it in 3rd,
Going back to shifting it by hand by the shift light. This was the 4th race with the air shifter and worked good before lastnight as long as I remember to turn the bottle on.

It's been a long time, but I remember having to install a capacitor to keep the noise from the MSD from interfering with the delay and throttle stop timers to have any consistency. Maybe something to check into if you don't already have something.

Never had problems with air shifter
Make sure msd trigger wiring isn’t close to any other wiring

On my car I just used the shifter for the 2-3 shift because the 1st shift was so quick it was always at max RPM. I would basically shift when the front wheels came down. By then I would be looking at the opponent so didn't have time to keep eye on the tach/shift light.
(plus it required more gadgets to make 2 shifts)

On the dragster with a PG, it would shift about 100' out maybe?
Never a problem there.
