whats a good value on a set of 1970 # 13 heads?

Depends on what condition they're in and if they're a date matching set.

Not an expert,but I know what I'd be willing to pay if I were looking for a set.

And they're not the rarest castings either,,,soooo...

Really rough bare castings with unmatched dates,,, ,,,you can keep 'em...

Decent buildable bare castings with unmatched dates,I'd say $250.00 max.

Nice clean bare castings w/matching dates,I'd go maybe say $275.00-$300.00 or so.

Nice clean (low miles) virgin set w/matching dates,I'd say maybe like $350.00 or so max.

Freshly re-done w/quality machine work & new guides,valves,etc. etc. and matching dates,well that obviously would be even more.

And none of that takes into account the usual haggling over the price either.

Some are better @ that than others are...

All boils down to how much the buyer wants them,and how bad the seller wants to get rid of them.

Thus any price can easily dip one way or the other.
