Default gutsram

I have a 68 GTO runs 9.95 on motor heads flow 312 cfm cam .700 lift I run a out of the box victor intake no work done to it with a dominator. Anyone think there would be any gain going to the gutsram tunnel ram with two dominators. Planning on having my first gen edelbrock heads ported at some point. Thanks for anyone's advice.

Maybe 30 HP over a good Carb and the Victor cleaned up.
Some might say why spend $1600-1800 for a pair of properly prepared Dominator carbs if one decent Dominator is enough vs 30 more HP.

Others would kill for 30 more HP.

From experience I say with the current head flow of 312 there would be no gain with the Gutsram but there would with the Original Wenzler TR and a pair of 4150 Carbs.

With head flow above 340 CFM the Gutsram would be the choice.

The Gutsram is designed for wideport heads. The original Wenzler tunnel ram is designed for standard pushrod location heads.

Wilcox sells a BBC tunnel ram converted to Pontiac for 1600$. The one on their website looks like a Dart maybe. Dont know if they convert any BBC intake to Pontiac, but that would mean you could get a T ram for just about any Pontiac application.
H&M Airflow Dynamics.
BTW, I was talking to M Leech Cmass eve, he was kicking it with his kids and dog at his moms house. We were talking about his heads and Pontiacs and I mentioned to him about this tunnel ram. He looked it up while we were talking and he said the plenum looked a bit small. He said he would ask John about it, not sure if he ever got around to it.
On that, there is a go fund me site for his kids. I have never donated to one but next week I will. If some of you can afford it it would be a very nice thing to do.

Correct but with a small mount of epoxy in the ports and drilling 4 holes in the heads that can be fixed.

Gutsram has some good sized runners but the plenum is small. I think it needs some ci and and little rpm to work good. But why not try it if you have it?

The plenum is smaller on the Gutsram. I have run both intakes on my car. Original Wenzler ET'd better but the Gutsram had the better MPH.
I will be adding a 1" plenum spacer between the intake and the flat top before I head back out this year.

Are the ports moved on the wide ports ? looking at wenzlers web site the ports are 1.25 wide by 2.25 tall that's pretty close to my victor intake. Engine is 450 ci. I don't have the intake was just looking for a better one to try to gain every last bit of hp without a total combo change. I run a books dominator now so he would be doing the new carbs. also the heads will be getting ported at some point hopefully to around 370 cfm without moving pushrods.
