[455-4+1]

Is anyone able to post a few pics of their factory 76 455 TA carb linkage.
Any engine pics without the air cleaner would be helpful also.
I have searched the carb and it looks like the number is 17056261 for an 800cfm with APT.
I have one pic off the net, that shows a fairly simple linkage, as it's for manual trans, the only option, so would not require kick down etc etc.
Just wondering if it is correct.
Reason is, I can't find factory carb over here in New Zealand, but have several Buick from 76 which are close except for linkage. Hopefully I can swap one in and replace primary linkage when rebusing throttle bore

I had been searching for a 17056261 for years. There were comments on the forum that the carb doesn't exist. The carb on my 76 455 is a 17056263 and was told it was original (always believe what a seller tells you, lol).

I have a spare original 6263 that I can take pictures of, but I won't be able to for a few days. If nobody else comes through by then, I'll post them for you.

OK, have searched up the 6263 in lieu of the "infamous, possibly missing, possibly never was 6261" and found plenty of pics
Looks like the linkage was pretty common one in my later pics.
I will head in this direction unless something comes up different

Apparently only difference between man and auto of them was ported vac advance provision for Man cars ?

I guess the 17056261 never got into production since it can´t be found in the Delco Parts&Service #9 manuals.

1976-78 Pontiac M/T Qjets has .038" idle tubes and .110" idle bypass air in the throttle plate add to that about .092" from the hot air choke channel, were the A/T units got no other idle bypass air than .092" from the hot air choke channel and .031"-.035" idle tubes depending on year and application.
Depending on vacuum control system used some got a ported source and others not.
