And without a Build Sheet, we can't pin down the Scheduled Build Day.
Yes, first time I'd heard the trans conversion possibility too. Glad it's not true.
I'd appreciate a PM with a few progress pics if you have the time.
Its a bare shell right now with all the metal work done and the floor painted. I have the subframe done and am hoping to get it to my paint guy at the beginning of the year. Im going to try to get it done for MCACN 2019. I really shouldn't knock the resto that was done before. It may have been done on a budget. It just wasn't restored up to my standards and I knew when I bought it I would have to redo it. The resto standards have changed so much in the last 10 years.

The latest Van Nuys 'shipped date' is 8-13, while the last Norwood is 9-28.
But the largest VIN isn't the latest shipped date, so who knows when it was actually built.

You’re right on the Van Nuys car John , but on the Norwood raiv tas there’s a couple cars that were actually shipped in 1971 one of them was February 1971 I owned it at one time

Any of them that showed being shipped in 1971 would have been multi-invoice cars like the Blue 70 IV 4spd that Steele just sold.

It didn't move out until Feb 71 also.
But originally went to Zone Inventory in Late July 70.

Have a 71 TA Invoice that Shipped on (9-20-70 Norwood) Sept 20 1970 . fwiw
So the 9-28-70 Norwood car mentioned by John ,
may also have had a previous Invoice as well.

If i could see the Invoices of the cars in question -
could nail all that down.

Build dates alone, from the trim tags, would probably answer part of the problem.
Imagine all of them would HAVE to Predate the 9-20-70 1971 TA from Norwood on their trim tags.
At minimum

Per Plant - largest VIN wins
even though it "may possibly" have came off the line 5 cars ahead of a lower VIN.

Overall winner - whichever had latest original ship date.
Invoices would need detailed scrutiny , not just basic face value taken.
