Default TH-350 Linkage for '68 with 2 Speed

Hi,

Converted my '68 from 2-Speed to TH-350. All went well except for the linkage on th etranny. Can't seem to get it right. Is there a kit you guys are using with or without cable?

Also, how about something to hold the kickdown cable to my QJet (originally 2bbl, now a standard QJet 4bbl).

Thank You,
Kurt

I used the original shifter and cable. Used the cable bracket on the pan and arm pivot from a 78 Trans Am. Basically, from any floor shifterd TH350. They are adjustible so you can put the pivot right where you want it.

The kickdown required a bolt on bracket from a 73 Pontiac. You could use the bolt on bracket from any Qjet powered Olds as it bolts to the carb studs. Just cut the throttle portion off. It's the same bracket Art Carr sels for qjet/OD apps in Summit.

If you don't have those parts, you do need them. If the TH350 already has the pivot and bracket use them.

I ordered them. We'll see if it does the trick!

Thank You!

The kit from Shift Works, mentioned above, worked well. All necessary parts (assuming you have a cable) were included to connect the stock shifter to the TH-350, and yes, you can use all 3 gears.
