New muncie 3spd drive gear
Looking for a new plastic gear that goes on the cable on the trans side for my 71 gto with a 3spd manual. Any ideas where i could get one?

I believe I know what you're talking about;
If I understand you, this is not muncie three speed specific, but rather specific to the gear set you have, and works with the gear pressed onto the main shaft. Do you have your old gear? They are selected by the gear in your transmission, and the gear set you have out back; I believe that the 'drive gear' is the one on the transmission main shaft, and that the 'driven gear' is the one that sits in the end of the adapter that the speedo cable threads onto. these charts should help;

Thank you! I dont know why i thought ames wouldnt have the part but they do. I ordered the blue 20 tooth gear. The gear i removed appears to be fine but until i compare it to a new one i wont be sure. I used the drill trick to test the speedo itself.
