Default 67 Firebird butchered on Overhaulin

Well Overhaulin has made the 67 birds a little more rare after "customizing" another car. They really should have finished it off by putting a Camaro front end on it and making another LS powered taxi cab.

Butchered and Foose jammed up its asss. After they were finished cutting on it and installing cheap Chinese fenders they tried to be careful about what motor they were going to stuff into it. My wife said what are you mumbling? (LS3 LS3 LS3 while gritting my teeth) and blam the horribly written and over played show said "We're jamming" this Chebby motor into it and wait .... BooBoo Bear just stopped the process to insist that we are adding Chebby Ornage! to the motor!"

Don't forget the HEMI valve covers ?!?!?!? What in the heck are they doing? I wish the show had a forum to post comments to.

The entertainment there would be priceless

I used to watch Overhaulin but can't stand it anymore..... With all the Chip Foose bootlickers(I agree he is very talented...but...) Everybody is just too wonderful....its disgusting. The cars are all pretty much the same carbon copy. The show is more of an infomercial for parts.

I'm not into customs...but can appreciate and respect what goes into them.

So its a 68 with side markers removed. Those LS engines are ugly with those stupid coils mounted on the valve covers, I hate em. I would move those behind the firewall, at least paint it Pontiac Blue, if you want to "LS" it. I know that's the rage right now, but I dont have to like it. If he pulled out my Pontiac Motor, I would rip out his Johnson rod along with his tiny lug nuts.

I only really watched this show once. It was many years ago when they took a beautiful virgin 70 GTO vert (blue I think) owned by Lance Armstrong and transformed it into a piece of crap.

Even with all we know now about Lance I still feel sorry for him. I would divorce my wife if she let those butchers near any of my cars!

Anyone can customize. The real work goes into restoring back to original. I wish there was a car show that did to Pontiacs what the Graveyard Carz boys do to Mopars.

How about a show called "Un-Haulin" Where cars that were ruined on Overhaulin are brought back to decent society!

Every car he does has the giant wheels and no tire, I know it is a popular look, but not on everything. The 69 camaro lights in the front were puke. I did like the color though..

I was in South Florida a few days ago and while tanking up at a service station I noticed the mechanic mounting a new set of wheels on an gen 3 80's Z-28.

It was a new extreme for me, the wheels where probably 24" and the tires were literally rubber bands, wish I took a picture. The sidewall was literally an inch thich. Hope he restricts his driving to pool tables!

I watched this episode last night.

I liked the color, but that was about it.

the wheels were ok, better than most they choose, but the engine and steering wheel horn button were pretty terrible.

I could get over the LS, but at least paint it Pontiac blue and try to make it look like a Pontiac like that 70 something Trans Am that Detroit Speed did a while ago

Also not sure why they moved the gas filler cap, the rear looks odd without the Firebird emblem in there, and they stole Lenie's idea of using a 69 Camaro valance.

Anyways... wish my bird had chinese fenders... as opposed to the swiss ones it has now (swiss cheese that is)

Thanks Captain he told me the same thing at SEMA. All, you know, I don't care for all of his revelations, but there are some I do. Everyone has their own versions of beauty but after putting eight years of hard work into mine in my garage I can appreciate the hard work anyone puts into their vision. I don't believe it's any easier building or creating your own version as it is taking it back to original as I've done both and enjoy both. I do find parts of the show entertaining as I try to take away a little something from all the car show I watch. The only real thing that pizzzes me off about the show is they're finished in a week Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

I think you guys are being too harsh. In any custom car, there's going to be things that you wouldn't do, but there's one more 67 bird on the road and it's finished. Have you guys driven a new Camaro with the LS3? I have one in my 2010 Camaro SS and it's one sweet motor with 426HP bone stock. Technology has advanced since 1969, so I see the LS3 swap as all goodness. If I were going to build a plane Jane 69 and it didn't have an engine, the first option I'd consider is putting an LS3 in it. I'd also paint it Pontiac blue, but the Chevy orange is better than a yellow or purple block.

Regarding the wheels and goofy color combos they put on these cars, they're unique. I personally think a stock looking car looks better, but I'd pull over to check this one out if I saw it in a parking lot.
