a friend of mine just had 3 of the origional indian chief motorcycles stolen in the ft recovery, oh area.

there was a 41 and a 46 complete but in parts, and a 47 that was assembled but in need of a resto.

also there was a custom built bike with a opel gt dual carb engine and a bmw final drive unit. this bike is silver with the wheels and drive unit components enclosed except for the handlebars and seat.it is one of a kind.

a number of antique furniture items were stolen at the same time.

the above items were taken the week of sept 15- 21st.

any lead or info is greatly appreciated and can be forwarded to me at mnixon@bright.net.

Mike, sorry to say that mororcycle theft is big in the mid-west. They're easy to take apart and sell. His bike is long gone, he'll probably never see it again.

i'd almost bet the bikes are hidden locally. there are too many things that point to someone who is familiar with the surroundings to be coincidence.

if proof surfaces then heads will roll.
