One of my winter projects is to replace the fuel tank on my 69 GTO. What is the proper finish/color of the tank supposed to be ? Is it plated, painted etc and what color ? Also, did the tank get any undercoating on them. Thanks

The tank should be the normal natural tin plated look. I would get a quality repro tank and clear coat it to prevent any surface oxidation.
