When my 69 GTO's engine is on, the wipers only work on high speed (from the low speed position on the switch). They than turn off on the high speed switch position.

When the engine's off, the wipers only work on low speed.

I've changed three wiper motors and the wiring is correct to the motor, so it's not that. Even the switch is a new NOS piece.

No easy answer with electrical. Are you sure you have a 2 speed motor? Check to make sure the Wiper switch is grounded properly behind the dash and then I would try another switch even though that one is new. (Unless you got the same result with the original switch)

What do the wipers do when they are selected in the "OFF" position?

CCass,
I fixed the problem! You were right. I grounded the switch and that did it.
