Default Surgery tomorrow

I am having surgery tomorrow morning to fuse C5-C7 vertebrae in my neck. I was hit by a distracted driver almost 4 years ago and have been through therapy, steroid injections that I had an allergic reaction to and even nerve ablation which gave me a small amount of relief.
Fortunately, if one can call it that, I was driving a company truck so all this is covered by workers compensation.
Hopefully, I will be back to working on my old cars again in about a month.

I feel for ya. I was hit by a teenaged driver in 2011. Whiplash was so severe it broke my C2. No Bueno on the neck stuff. I will be pulling for you that it gets you back on track.

I had the same surgery about 6 years ago with the addition of two cadaver bones installed. I had been going through a lot of pain, getting the injections and therapy. The minute I woke from surgery I asked the doctor if I was paralyzed due to the fact all the pain was gone. The only inconvenience was wearing a neck brace for three weeks. I hope your surgery is equally successful and wish you the best. To this day, I have had no problems with my neck. Take care and listen to your doctor. John

Thumbs up

Hang in there, buddy. Take your time recovering. This isn't minor surgery.

Good luck with the surgery. It sounds like you have tried everything before doing surgery. I have just started therapy for my own medical issue and researching it on the internet just makes me more confused. Hopefully workmans comp is handling most of your paperwork cause I think that may be the worst part of this whole deal. Jim
