Have a passenger side fender removed from a 1979 T/A located in Northern Nevada. Good condition with no filler and no rust.

To the OP, you are aware that to look right under the hood you actually need 1970-72 fenders, those are almost impossible to find. You can convert newer fenders by changing out the top inner structure brace from the early fenders and you would also want to add the fender to valence bracket from the early fenders as well.

Sure. Not sure if that would be affordable to you these days with shipping rates as they are. Or maybe meet in Bishop?

I do see a pair of fenders in Anaheim on craigslist. Says they are for a 77-81 T/A. Listed in auto parts section under Pontiac on L.A craigslist.

The ad states the fenders are from 77-81, but they look like 79-81 as they have the holes for the later style wheel flares. The ad says passenger fender has some filler in it so if you end up needing a good passenger side fender , let me know.

Many times the average ad lister on Craigs, Fakebook, & even automotive enthusiast bulletin boards has no clue exactly what he/she has. Having driven several hours to look @ parts that were misidentified or misrepresented, it's part of life. Have had several instances recently, of second Gen Camaro doors, being mistaken as both early & late style 2nd Gen Bird doors. It happens.

On second Gen Bird & T/A fenders, the original applications are:
'70-72
'73
'74-75 (some very early '74 models received '73 fenders, I've personally inspected & pulled them)
'76
'77-78
"79-81"..... sometime, during the '78 model , the dual spoiler mtg style began, these were eventually phased out, & the "79-81" spoiler mtg style began to be used.

In the mid '80's, when one went to the dealer & for a 2nd Gen T/A ordered the 1000xxxx part number replacements, one received the dual spoiler mtg style fenders. Have had several nos pairs of that style replacement. Personally, for my own T/A projects, do not like that style. For #1 condition correct early fenders, will continue to change out complete rails & front stamped structure.

The 1970 - 1972 T/A fenders are extremely hard to find. I've only seen one NOS 70-72 T/A fender in my many years of collecting. I picked it up in 1982 for a 1970 Trans Am I owned. It came with an early T/A that was wrecked when almost new, and the owner bought parts to repair.

I've got one NOS 73 T/A fender I acquired in the later 1980s. It has the lower valance brackets. I was extremely lucky to find it.

Every other NOS fender I've seen was later model.

I've seen
