I like the naked look of that engine. Reminiscent of a dragster. Coolant must be exiting at the rear of the heads?

The alternator is mounted under the crankshaft. Pretty wild set up all together.

That front combination mounting plate/timing cover is unique. It looks like it's stamped Edmunds, and I believe that company went out of business in the 1950s so it would have been for an early Pontiac V8. I wonder if it's a piece designed for marine use.

This car reminds me of the Purple People Eater - I think it's owned by Alex Izardi and/or his brother Marky, they're in the Shifters car club in California (I also think Alex is a member here on the board who posts occasionally, hopefully he'll see this - he may know more about the car above.) Their car has a blown 316ci Pontiac that has been run at different times with fuel injection or eight carbs.

That is a front plate for a jet boat. Pretty sure it's an Edelbrock.

I would think so I'd like to see the rear of the engine and where he put the radiator. That would have to be a high amp alternator to be able to run the pump that has to be moving the coolant as well as the fan(s) pulling or pushing air through the radiator. A neat car however he did it!
