Hi Lyn,

I want to say thanks for keeping me informed about the sedan A-bodies you are finding.

I made the decision to keep the cars original body intact despite the bad body work and so-so paint. It has a new engine (455); rear-end (3.08 12-bolt posi) with factory 1.125" rear sway bar; 1.125" from sway bar; newly reupholstered seats, new headliner, package shelf, ear muffs, and visors; and new carpets. I just need to re-glue the door panel covers to the backer boards and re-die the plastic pieces to have an almost entirely new interior. I probably got a little carried away refurbishing the car, but it will be much nicer to drive around in. I'll post some pictures soon in the 70-72 section when we get the interior finished.

Thanks to everyone who has been searching for me! Dennis

marxjunk,

That is a very nice one, but too high priced compared to the one I bought from John Hugentober (57Chieftain) and is a 6 cylinder. It looks like its on a dealers lot. Thanks for keeping on the look-out for me, I appreciate it.

Lyn,

That guy is in lala-land price-wise. It is a pretty nice looking car but has a big paint blemish on the hood. For $20k, it would have to be perfect and loaded with better options like the 400 4-bbl motor, TH400 trans, posi, am/fm stereo, Rally II's, etc. He justifies it at the end of his description as being the platform for the GTO. No, its not! What a schmutz.

Check this one out, Dennis. It may be the same car that Lyn mentioned:

Nice ride, John, but I don't know about the B-J part. A/C needs help for sure. And no price?

Hi John,

Yeah, that's the $25k LeMans that has the blemished hood that was on here a little while ago. The guy is delusional at that price. It's a nice four dour, but only worth 5-6k at the most.

post toastie - That is a nice one for a decent price. Too bad it isn't closer to me...I'd be awful tempted. Thanks for posting it.
