65 Lemans convertible in Pennsylvania at $40K BIN. "LM7 V8/Stand Alone EFI/4L60E Auto/4 Wheel Power Discs." I like the 65's more than the 66/67 GTO. The fact they kept it a Lemans with a GTO hood looks really good IMO. The engine may not be a Pontiac, but I bet it runs great. With 4WD there's some technology in the suspension, so if it doesn't ride very well you can fit it. I typically don't like the digital gauges, but they work on this car. I also like the stock radio to go with it.

69 chrome wrap GTO convertible in Indiana at $50K BIN. The interior is nice, but who knows what's under the wrap. $50K is on the aggressive side IMO.

69 Firebird 4-speed project in Washington $300 reserve not met. Supposedly was an original 400, but not sure if that means anything now. No engine or transmission.

69 Firebird 400 project $21.5K in Texas. No engine or transmission, this car is very overpriced IMO. It probably has that much money in it, but that's why you don't start off with a rusted car. It has mini tubs, so if a pro touring thing is what you're after this may be for you.

It's interesting is the same way you look on the opposite side of the road when you see an accident. You know you shouldn't be a looky loo, but you do anyway. Wrapping a car with chrome is like fulfilling a dream you had when you were 8 playing with Hot wheels. Also, having a mirror as your car can shine in the eyes of people coming towards you at a high rate of speed.

If I say anything about that aluminum foil GTO it won’t be nice. So I won’t say anything…

In my teens and 20's I thought a Chrome plated car would be the ultimate.
But they said it couldn't be done , realistically anyway.

Now that it can be, I'm not too much into it.
That must have been some budget wrap or it's weathered too much.
It does have the aluminum foil personna about it.

That was a helluva car and seemed fairly priced.
Looks like it sold for 11k

I know everything else had exterior antennas in 69 , but was thinking GP had w/s antenna.
Looks unusual for some reason

You could get it through 1975
Starting in 1973 just had to be a 4bbl engine - and pay extra for Air Inlet Hood option.
It would be listed on the PHS Invoice , or window sticker.
It was just induction , would have been nice if 73-74 SD Formulas could have had that hood/induction.

I had one of those hot wheels...no wonder I was drawn to her!

That car was loaded with over $6K on the PHS. It also had a 428HO engine with 4 bolt mains. For what it was sold for, someone got a great deal.

What I find very interesting about the 73-74 Super Duty shakers is why they were not Ram Air. From what I've gleaned over the years, it was due to the sound measured externally. If that were true, they could have put an air filter element in there to make it quieter. Remove the air filter to get better flow, and problem solved. I also wonder how the 74 GTO shaker was able to get produced when the 74 SD couldn't get it?

it. I do not like it Sam I am. It's funny I've seen a chrome Shelby Cobra replica in chrome and I thought it was awesome; I'll have to admit my hypocrisy.

Cobra is polished aluminum. Probably made by Kirkam.

Aluminum polishing can get pretty sweet with the right methods.
It it's higher grade aluminum alloy.

Justin Beiber had a Chrome wrapped exotic car once , it looked like it was done really well.
Much better than the 69 GTO subject car.
