Probably be his one day. Has about 5k miles on it, 6 sp #1497.
I like the snow shots, looks like a vintage photo, flashback to '69! I'd still like to have a 30th someday.

Default YH?

Wow, the power of the internet... I connected with someone on another forum who has previously looked at this car (Ned), and he says the block code is YH.. which would be incorrect for the car, isn't that right?

PHS said it should be WF, and the wallace racing site confirms WF....

So - perhaps its not a #'s car after all! ?

Also - Ned noticed there are no badges on the car - this sends up warning flags that perhaps its been repainted.

Really? I didn't recall hearing that before. That's surprising to me being a low-mileage, one owner car. Did you ever ask the seller to read the code for you. Its simple enough to do just to be sure. Nevertheless, a rare car and well worth the effort to check it out yourself. I wish I was closer!

Default WF

Ned since corrected himself, saying it was WF.

Here are some additional pics.... Doesn't look like a 43k engine to me however.

Also, that trim around the back window - should be chrome I assume.

and where are the emblems on this "never been painted" car?

I believe the chrome on the back window was factory painted black on that car.
Living in Oklahoma i don't see to many cars that look that way underneath

That is correct for 69 GP with vinyl top...it is not painted chrome, but is a textured metal with the grain look of the vinyl top...VERY hard to find if you need it.

WF, that sounds better!

The engine compartment looks a bit neglected and the components look pretty rusty, but I guess thats normal for car that was driven it that area?

Yes, the color-keyed grained rear window molding is correct for vinyl top cars. They are made of stamped steel instead of stainless and are prone to rust.

I don't believe the car was ever advertised as original paint, but nevertheless the emblems should be there.

Neat car, good colors and rare.
