Interesting. Here's the part # listing I have, the "582" is not shown here, but the "581" also shows to be 248°.

yes, I thought the 581 was used earlier than 1966. it's just 2 prongs, not 1.

i have a 1968 dated D-1857 1993581 sending unit 8B26 dated two 2 prong unit if anyone needs it.
