I started my old TA that has been sitting out in front of the shop for the past 3 years Sunday after charging the old battery up. The front 2 tires had separated all the tread off while it was sitting so I boroowed the front tires and wheels off my wifes project 78 TA so it's first highway miles in a few years will be the 80 mile run to the track to visit with old friends and watch a little pontiaction... it may just be what I need to put boot to a$$ to get back to fixing up my old GTO's - Got a really cool 8-71/455 and a neat car to put it all in

Tim, bring the LeMans for gawd sake.

OK, getting two cars ready that haven't been down the track or sitting for almost ten years was a bit for me to do in such a short time. We will be out in the morning 75%, hoping one will make a good show on the track. We have called it a night and up before the sunrise to hopefully finish.

Lemans has a thrust bearing out. Buick 455 hurt some pistons. The Buick is now sober and running on 91 octane powered by a motor from the darkside and N20.

Great day other than the thrown belts on both cars and brakes and tranny completely out on the Firebird.

Me and my boys. We both threw belts and the Firebird brakes went out as I stalled at the light and rolled through for a red light on the first round; ran down the track anyway and blew the transmission out. Shay made his first runs ever and dropped 2 seconds from his first run before we called it a day. Great friends and family!

It was good to meet you as well Jeff. We ended up leaving after all my buddies got beat out because 1 of the guys wanted me to follow them in case of mechanical malfunction. I wanted to stay for the final and then head over to the mud races for a few hours but it wasn't to be...

It was good seeing both Steves again as well! Not thrashing and wrenching on something was pretty cool too and I bought a like brand new tire for the front of my TA from a vendor out there for $20 so now I need to pont up for an actual new tire to be it's mate so I can give my wife her tires and wheels back

Oh yea, it was also good to see Tim (pontiacguy) again even though he was driving a buick with a SBC and was hiding from us at the other end of the pits for some reason...

Default Pontiac Nationals Tulsa 2014

Some quick videos I took with my phone. Sorry for the quality, it was just test & tune and I couldn't zoom in to get the times but still cool. I was busy talking cars in the show car area and didn't see all the races.

Also a few pics, if I can get them to load right.
