He must be smoking' something good!
Looks like a $20k car to me, maybe $25k if someone likes the blue flame job.

It always cracks me up when sellers talk about "original, numbers matching" on a highly modified car.

Yep, totally rediculous asking price. Unless he can find some sucker to buy it and then he's a genius

Well, it has the ultra-rare original 4-speed TH400, what can you expect?

I won't quibble with the workmanship or the personalized nature of the car. I'll just state that custom cars rarely achieve a selling price comensurate with the amount of work that goes into them. For that matter full on factory restorations face the same problem. It truly is a labor of love. Let's hope the owner can live with the fact.

Base engine automatic hardtop. Bottom of the barrel regardless of the paint.

Do custom muscle cars like this even sell? One would think that only a few people would want something like this, and they would specify how they would want the shop to perform the job. Like said above, unless a customer asks for this, i think that the shop could only make most of their investment back by restoring the car to original condition. Looks like they just put the dirty springs back on the hood hinges instead of cleaning them up.

Cars like this don't sell. My guess is he's running this to come down on the next run and make someone think they're getting a good deal. I'd guess a car like this would sell for about $14K max. The 80's wild paint and superchargers sticking out of the hood are dinosaurs and bad investments. If it's what you want, have at it, but if he's looking to sell it he'll probably list it with a reserve just to see how high it goes. My guess is this car will be on eBay off and on for the next year.

Being that its in Cali, I am betting hes looking for a sucker with money to burn, and no time to do a basic web search. That would be an actor or musician or similar
