Default Coolant leak at LH cyl head

Hi All,
I need a bit of advice please.
Recently I had the motor on my '73 350 Firebird overhauled. Crankshaft ground, bores honed, deck shaved, new camshaft, etc. A lot of work was done to the cylinder heads. Bigger valves, roller rockers etc. The engine work was done by an engine reconditioning shop and the motor was removed/installed by my mechanic.
Before I was given the car back, it developed a coolant leak at the left hand cylinder head inbetween the spark plugs (as per the pics.) Sorry the 2nd pic is upside down, I couldn't fix it.
Both the engine shop and my mechanic say they haven't seen this before so I am asking if anyone has any ideas why this has occurred.

Any thoughts?

Well I would say if it isn't coming from the bolt area it looks like paint peeling area and the heads cracked maybe ...???
Can u get a pressure tester and pressurize the system and inspect....????

Looks like a pinhole leak. Try Rislone, expensive but very good. Repco, Supercheap, AutoBarn should have it.

Thanks for the info so far. I am driving it with a sealer in it to see if it will seal itself.
I'm not really optimistic though.

This is what I use for instances like this.

I had a BBC rebuilt and had the oval port cylinder heads opened up to 2.19/1.88 valves. While cutting one of the exhaust seats got into the water jacket. The cure once the engine was finished was to run a bottle of this stuff through the cooling system. Ran that engine for about 7-8 years when one day white smoke started coming out of one exhaust pipe. I knew exactly what it was. Drove it home, put another bottle of this stuff in and it was fine again for a number of years. Ran the snot out of that engine too.
