Default Coolant Overflow Tube for Cold Case Radiator?

If you have a Cold Case radiator, what did you do for a coolant overflow tube?

Is there a 3/8" tube with a molded bend?

How did you clip it to the radiator and/or radiator support?

I don't need an overflow tank, just want a tube similar to original on my 70.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, I think we used 3/8" tubing from somewhere...maybe got it at the local auto parts store.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks again Dennis.

Did you clip it at the bottom or just wedge it?

If I interpret the assembly drawing correctly, the original tube was molded with a bend at the top and had a clip on the radiator. I'm certainly not worried about "correct" on my car but will need a way to hold it near the bottom.

Mike, you can barely make out a little curved tab that is molded into the shroud that is designed to capture the overflow hose. This new hose is larger in diameter so it looks pinched. It's right above the lower radiator hose connection.

I have the original overflow hoses on the '69 Custom S and '70 Judge, so I'll see if I have any pictures of them to share.

Here is a picture of my '70 Formula 400 with a new Cold Case radiator and the original shroud and overflow hose. Same format as the A-bodies. Both hoses don't look pre-bent with a molded-in curve to me. Looks like we just eased the hose end over the nipple on the fill neck.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste...

I got the light on it and the hook is NOT hidden.

Thanks, Dennis

Hello again. I have a Cold Case with an overflow bottle that I got from Ames. I had to clamp both ends of the hose. It was a little too loose. Check out the bottom right corner of the picture. 62Olds
