Default 1973 formula hood ram air

I am converting hood to functional ram air. I cut the first wall near the scoop entrance, I see a second wall about 8 to 10 inches from outer scoop entrance. Is that correct ?

That is correct.
Don't cut that one though.

So the air is routed around the wall?

The "Rammed" air goes UNDER that second wall which is the reinforcement for the latch area. Then it comes back up and through the hood and the screened area to the boot ring and boots. I sell the correct hardware for boot rings and screens ( just the bolts and thick clips) .

The ram air ( WU3) really doesn't do much with pressure till you are over 62 mph based on a wind tunnel diagram I saw back in the 70's.
All said and done with the element and air path its about .5 lb of pressure , but fresh air anyways.

Where you already cut, there is a small "lip" to keep out water around that whole entrance. If water gets past, it drops through holes below when it goes under the latch support area.

Well, I'm a very crippled up old man now, but at least I still have all of my appendages! It was very much touch and go for several months! To give you some idea oif what I've been through, how does five hospital visits, four surgeries and four nursing home stays sound?

Still have another 12-18 months of rehab to go on my right foot, but at least I can drive now. I couldn't drive for nearly 10 months!

All I can say is thank God for Medicare and a great medicare part G supplement plan. My total out of pocket medical costs have been $0.00 since January 1st when I went on Medicare. I've spent a bit on prescriptions, but it's a paltry amount compared to the rest of my medical expenses!
