69 JUDGE HDTP RAIV AUTO STARLIGHT BLACK
My Judge is for sale. It has not been advertised for sale in over 30 years since I purchased it in July 1979. The recent economic downturn as well as some medical issues will keep me from restoring this car. It was to have been my last project before I retired. That will not happen now. It could be your next project though. The car is basically as I purchased it in 1979. It had a 1974 400 engine in it at that time which has been removed. I found the original engine in 1992 and purchased it. The car now has its original block and transmission with matching VINS. The heads are fresh, ready to bolt on. One head has the whole part number on it and the other just 722. The carb is original and rebuilt by Jon Hargrove. The intake, crossover, exhaust manifolds, and distributor are correct but not original. The shortblock is standard bore and turns over well. I never took it apart to check it out further. I never found a code on the rearend but it is a nodular unit and I believe its original. It does have a 3:08 gear in it now instead of the 3:90. The car will need a complete frame off restoration done on it. It is an original Ohio car so its rusty. The car is not totally complete but all the hard to find parts are here. It was painted once before I got it. It has new GM quarters on it. The fenders will need patched as well as floor pans and a trunk pan. The frame has a couple bad spots but I have a nice frame from Arizona that goes with the car. The interior is fairly decent. Dash is real nice. Seat belts are nice. Glass is nice. The original radiator is in the car, the carb pan is original. I have 4 original JA wheels on the car, no spare tire or jack.
This car is one of the 58 RAIV automatic Judges built. It also is a bench seat car with column shift. I only know of 2 other Judges with these options and this is the only black on black car. Could truly be a 1 of 1 car. Asking price for this rare GTO is $85,000. I know that is a lot of money so I would consider taking on trade a very nice turn key car up to $40,000 value. Your trade would be a stock or lightly modified original or restored 4 speed GTO 1964-1974. NO '66 or '67 cars, no customs or heavy modifieds. It would be a nice color such as black, burgundy, blue, or turquoise. Also would consider a 1965 2+2 with 3x2 and 4 speed or a SD455 T/A. PM me here if interested. I can email you pictures and the PHS if you include your email. Jim

Are '69 Judge RAIV cars typically worth quite a bit more than '70 Judge RAIV cars?
Just wondering. Mark

Although it's been a few years since I've seen it, this car is solid. Good Luck in your sale, Jim.
---Hopefully, I'll be able to come home sometime in the near future.

Hey Trent. I saw you had your car for sale and were moving somewhere? I havent been on here much lately. RRD decided that I needed to work all shifts again and I am having a hard time with that. You can be glad you got out of there. I am on 3RD now and its been h-ll. Have you got a new work destination yet or time frame for moving? I hate to sell this car but it needs to be restored to a high level and I know I cant get it done at this point. You know its a part of the family, and the grand daughter doesnt want me to sell it either. But as you know too well we got to move on sometimes. Luck with your car sale also. Jim

Hi Ron,
Sad day for me to put this car up for sale but it needs to be done right and I cant get it done. I am not lucky enough to win the lottery! I think you need another project. I will take a trade in, 64? or 69?. LOL, Jim
