I have a 400 in a 67 firebird and I really want to make sure my header gaskets aren't going to leak after just a couple of months. what do you guys recommend for a good header gasket? What do you think about copper gaskets such as these?

Thanks
Rob

Fel-pro #1424
Use 'em all the time with no leaks.

There are probably guys here who have had good experience with copper gaskets but I could never get mine to seal the way they should. The raised lip on the copper gaskets I tried didn't line up very well with the ports or header flanges and always leaked.

I ended up going with a good quality regular gasket and some hi-temp sealer. No problems so far.

I have had Fel-Pro Ultra Seals on mine for 3 years. They have a metal core that won't break out.
