This morning in our local paper I noticed an add placed by a gentleman who's 1968 GTO convertible had been stolen. Having just had an attempt on mine in the same area I contacted him. Heres what I found out. This car is black exterior/red interior/black top car. The top needed replacement but the rest of the car had undergone a restoration in 1989. 400 cubic inch engine with the Turbo 400 trans. At the time of theft the car carried an expired Alabama antique tag. Other identifing marks on the car are; hideaway headlights, lower front valence is a fiberglass reproduction, the car has his/hers shifter with a glass knob. This glass knob was from his fathers car in the 20's and has GE Mosser embossed in it. The passenger frame has some damage in the front from an accident. This car has been in his family since it was purchased new by his brother in April 1968 in Denver, Colorado. Please contact Gary @ 205-322-0377 or 205-979-5535. Hoover, Alabama police have the case. #03-12576 They can be contacted @ 205-444-7700. Thanks guys!!!! David Jones. I'll also post this in the lobby for more exposure.

Was this one ever found? I thought I read some where that it was seen behind a house near by.

The lack of planning on your part does not justify a emergency on my part.

Gary called and said they had had NO luck finding his car. He was however excited about his proposed settlement from the insurance company. $34000.00 He asked me if that was enough. He said he had seen them on Ebay for 100K. I let him down as easy as I could. Suggested that he accept the check and run.....
