Default 67 One Owner Convertible on B@T

67 GTO Convertible Montego Cream / Black / Black
One Owner
WT 4spd car
Some preferred options , but not sure yet which ones are original .

Appears to maybe have been frame-off restored , but underbelly left original - dry ice blasted perhaps.
Neat car

Second look , more like frame-on restored , with some re-black on the frame.
Underbelly is def original though.
Some fluffing up in the front.

Very very well kept car
Original interior

Seems like it might have been one that should have been left alone.
But maybe it had some little boo-boo's here and there and they wanted it like new again.

My take is that as we get older so do the owners of these one owner cars.
As they are passed on to their heirs they are then sold. Most of these heirs dont realize its like money in the bank, and instead go for the quick buck and sell.

Repop exhaust manifolds don't align with sellers story , but I was expecting that.

I sort of padded the carburetor date , maybe.
I know they didn't use " I " on cast parts in 67
But not absolutely sure if that applies to the carb disc dates

The carb disc is dated J6
If that is Sept , it works for the 10A car.
If its Oct - it isn't in tune.
Invoice date Oct 6

PS/PB, no SS trim on the pedals. Weird PS pump. Fan shroud AND
finger guard. Exhaust extensions from an automatic car. Off-Road
option didn't use spiral shocks. Even having a reference photo on
hand wasn't enough to keep them from failing to position a grille
emblem correctly.

I expect the selling dealership was behind this "refurbishment".

omg at the grill emblem . lol

One of the early photos shows car still wearing its hubcaps.
Hood pins , but no hood tach installed yet , in that picture.

I think it gained all its upgrades when they did the engine refurb.
Carb at that time is a shiny silver unit with no ID disc.

So its gone through some changes.
Normal
But seller is trying to milk it with poetic liberties.

.... instead of headers they purchased new HO manifolds from Kimmel Pontiac
STFU
