Cool chrome nose GTO. Are you going to keep the high racker stance?

Yes, I am keeping the stance putting the air brush back on. This is how my brother bought the car. He alway wanted to redo the air brush. He had a friend trace all the air brushing on to transparent paper before he started the body work on the car. Something happened to them, I can't remember and nobody had any good pictures to go by until now. He let me take the GTO to high school and this was the look of the car.
So I am going to do what he wanted to do and I also think it looks awesome!

Well as usual I'm a little late but welcome to the board. Like the look of your 68. Hate you lost your brother and I know how it is to have something for so long. And it's a blessing to his memory that you are doing it the way he wanted to do it.

Bin working on the GTO. Striped the front down to the frame. All new suspension parts, steering box, springs and some paint. Installed some disc Brakes. Inspected the motor, looks to be just a little more than a stock rebuild. So we left it alone. Did a reseal and some fresh paint. Figured we would just build and another engine. I found a correct WS block with in one mount of build date. Bought a new auto gear trans for it.

We got the engine and trans in. Put the car back on the ground to see the stance. I will be changing the wheels and tires.

Nice!

I like how you integrated the geometric paint lines from the early car into the sticker.

Is there a name for that style or paint scheme?

Good Eye

No name for the paint scheme that I know of. The guy who painted it in 1973 works 4 towns away. I plan on taking a ride and talking to him.
