Well, Saturday is here, still no rain. Let's hope it stays south tomorrow. Other than a few cleanup items, the pig is ready to go. I'm heading out early and I'll fill up the truck just in case I need to get out of the heat to sleep in AC comfort till the racing starts.

I'll bring the camera but we may have to pass it around if everyone wants videos.

Will be loading up this afternoon and see ya there.

Just put 5 gal of 93 octane in the ole 76.

Put the 2 cans of paint in the trailer too.

LOL! Yes, he came up to me and said "the car launched so hard I found a pair of glasses in the car, and I don't wear glasses"...

I just told him they were yours and He'll save 'em for ya.

Thanks for the kind words.

I did hear some people talking about your car in the lanes, they said "Man that old Pontiac is fast, and you can eat out of the engine bay it's so clean!"

Your car looks like a show car, but will put most of the newer Camaro's and Mustangs on the trailer in a hurry.

You need to add a line in your signature about your glasses making a 10 second pass.

He is OH so close to the number he wants. It will run his number with ease, but he was having some issues last night.

My best last night was a 10.26 @ 134.58, with a SMOKING 1.601 60 ft...

Yeah, it was close but no cigar, the car was good but the driver was the problem. I did have one issue where the nitrous line decided start leaking in the car and I had to bail out in the staging lanes and shut the bottle off, bad line, had a hole in it. I was lucky that a friend was there who pulled his line so I could get some nitrous passes in. Then the nitrous solenoid inlet fitting started leaking. After getting the leaks fixed I got back into the staging lanes and lined up against a rat box 80s or so Z28. The guy red lighted (I think he left on the third bulb) so I hammered the nitrous off the line and not much happened in first gear. I forgot to purge the nitrous so I didn't get the hit till second gear. The guy had 5 car lengths on me and I drove right by him.

I ran 11s.
11.0
11.04
122 something mph

After that everything went down hill. My eye doc came up with some contacts that should work good at the track. They did good till it got dark and I lost all of my near vision, I couldn't even see the tach or read a time slip. Ended up hitting the rev limiter in neutral twice.

It was a lot of fun though, lined up against Kenny on a .400 Pro Tree. Kenny caught me sleeping, beat me by .001 off the tree.

Last race was with Dave H., that was a good one. First time the T/A has ever lifted the wheels off the ground. David's son was so pumped after the pass, he came running up and said it was such a cool race, that was worth all the work over the past week.

I think I'm going to call John Calvert to get some suspension advice. My car is launching just like my Camaro buddy with the same setup, hooks hard, pulls the wheels, unloads and then it spins.

My first RT was a .323, then Jim suggested taking off when the second light lit, because on a standard, you gotta work the clutch and all....more time...

My first run using that got me a .003 RT!!!!!! (second time, i got to antsie and hit a red light of -.114

I wanted my lemans the color of Jims... his metallic just glows even in the moonlight.

I didn't like to walk the car out then hit it, but what can u do...

I was suprised at how many racers showed up, from motorcycles to trucks.

it WAS PACKED!!!! IN 5 HOURS WE AVERAGED LIKE 5 RUNS. I wanted to spend more time talking with everyone, but running around etcc....

My first run was to a guy in a 4 cyclinder with 'the next step up turbo' - he smoked me off the line and i believe he was running 12's. But, he started smoking... a white smoke.. by the time i got half way down the track I couldnt see much, but i had to let OFF at the 1,000 mark, it WAS COVERED with white smoke and i couldnt tell if he crashed, stopped or what... and I didnt want to drive into him at 94 mph.

It was great to see all the pontiacs there!

Me and Lady Dude and others spoke briefly about having a 'Pontiac Day at Bradenton".

I will be more then happy to contack the track owner, But I dont feel im savy enought in the race world, that being my second time out, so I dont know all the tech words and what is needed. But I would really like to see this happen.

Keep me posted on your thoughts peep's..
