GM famously did not offer convertible GTO's in 1972 - they stopped that in the Spring of 1971. Also, the GTO reverted back to option status in 1972.

I have a friend who has a 72 GTO for a decade - will ask how his was titled.

Interesting the title says it's a GTO.

Interesting article on a very rare 72 GTO 455 HO.

I see your point now.
Just noticed that the title was issued in 2015. DMV may have just accepted whatever the bos said it was, especially just being an option beginning that year..

I have a 2D67M 2P car and they are not a GTO. Somewhere along the line someone titled it as such and it stayed that way.

68 GTO convertible with hideaways at $20K BIN in SC. You know what the difference is between a clone and the real thing... a real GTO is always a real GTO. Worth the asking price IMO.

70 Firebird 4-speed in Denver at $30K BIN. Lots to like, like a rebuilt 400 and super T10, with FDB! The racing seats look like crap IMO, but an easy fix. Put the chrome accents back in, some 15" Rally II's and it would rock. I like the retro gauges, but it looks like they paid a lot just to look different.

Interesting routing of the park brake cable.

Good catch. That's some sketchy decision making right there. Makes you wonder what else is blatantly wrong?

wow drop-top too...if I was yankee this would definitely steal the show for the oddball award...lol
As was posted earlier, This is a clone. There were no 1969 Beaumont SD 396 convertibles built. Also, No Beaumont ever came from the factory with a 396/375 hp L-78 engine.
There is a Youtube video about this car from a car show where the owner was talking about the car. Most of the info the owner talked about was wrong. He has/had no idea what he had.

68 Firebird in Maryland at $5K with a reserve. This car is a set of Rally I's and a steering wheel away from where I'd want it to be, but it is a nice looking car.

Here's an interesting car, 70 Trans AM in SC at $44K BIN. I think the block is NM and the transmission isn't, but it's close. This was a white car and then painted blue. The interior is pretty nice looking, but not stock. It's been sitting for 20 years and everything will need to be gone through. The asking is too high for me, but if I had this car, I'd get it running and drive it like it is.

Solid looking project 70 TA with a lot of hard to find original parts still with it. Not many like that come up for sale these days.
