How do I fix slippery driveway?
I have a long driveway that goes up the hill to my house and there is a switchback (sharp curve) in the driveway and the switchback section is bumpy concrete and the rest is asphalt and the concrete is so bumpy that your car could loose traction if you have too much speed or too little you will start to spin the tires. I do not know the history behind the curve being concrete, maybe it was asphalt at first and they changed to the concrete and did not know how to finish the concrete and ended up with a bumpy driveway. I need to get it fixed but I do not want to waste my money and then have a problem with the people that do the work. What will fix it and how to handle getting someone who really knows what to do.

use some driveway sealer and put a bunch of black beauty sandblasting grit in it. roll it on . This is what the towns use to fill cracks in roads and will give you some traction

I don't know if concrete or pavement is the best to use in this slick area but the driveway is going uphill and its pretty level from left to right and I tend to think that it needs to be banked a little (angled up a little) on the outside edge, maybe I'm wrong but I hope to find some people that have this same type situation that have found a solution before I waste my money and do the wrong thing.

A friend has a steep drive as you described. If the concrete is too rough-grinding is probbably to costly. If it is not a big area-say 20 x 12 I would get a excavator to rip it out and regrade it then repave same. You could use a rental skid loader 'maybe' remove the concrete if its not over 4" thick. Get one end of the slab up place a fulcrum under then drive on it or hit with a sledge.I've done this a few times when I did this kind of work.I think replacing would be the most cost effective and get rid of the roughness you describe. A cubic yard of concrete will cover an area of approx. 80 sq.ft at 4" thick. Here 1 cuyd is about $104.00.
