Dichromate process for Tri-power carb bodies
I have seen both the eastwood painted carbs and then the restored carbs that have been re-dichromated and much prefer that yellow/green finish. My question is, can anyone recommend a place to get this done that is reputable? I see yearone offers the service but at almost 150 per carb....yikes. don't really want to pay 450 just for that on my tripower but would do so if I can be sure that the shop I send it to is reputable and that my precious carbs won't be damaged. Any thoughts? Thanks for the time.

I sent my 65 tri-power to the Holley custom shop. They charge $300 per carb, but when they come back....man they looked so nice I put them on my desk for 2 weeks just to look at them everyday. Excellent job and well worth it! They plate their's and not painted.

Cjag, what state are you in ?
I know a guy in Florida that does NICE carb re-coloring work. Chemical process, not spray paint. Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 12-21-2005 at 11:42 PM. |
