My brother and I got that same set for Christmas from our grandparents, probably around 1967. Ours came with Indy style cars, and mine was white. I remember the leads on the controllers were so short that if you moved much it would disturb the track. It had a copper gold color transformer like the one pictured a few posts back.

Thumbs up Classic car tastes

Last month while on a private tour with her husband at Jaguar’s Coventry England facilities, my daughter happened to mention to one of the officials that I was a Pontiac guy at which time he took them to an area where some cars were and invited her to take pictures. She sent these to me.

Here are some Beaumont ads, in French no less. A little something for the Pontiac and Chevy enthusiasts.

Some photos a friend of mine took for a college photography class photo essay after I won my first big auto show. It was my FIRST auto show ever.

Many eons ago when we sent away for the PHS on the GTO along with the build sheet photocopy, they also sent an informational package of decoding info, GM memos, etc. and a copy of these promotional GTO photos from the GM archives. This was sent to me as a photographic print not just a paper photocopy. Nice to have.

Hmm... I wonder if those turbine cars "stole" heat from the engine to heat the car's interior?

Default 1966 Bonneville

A few pictures of my family's old 1966 Bonneville, taken when it was brand new. This was my mom & dad's first new car, and it's responsible for my long time love of Pontiacs. Purchased in State College, PA, and sold in Springfield, VA in 1979. I have no idea if it survived...

The second picture is mom and me - I was about 1-1/2 years old at the time.
