Default Norwalk parts

Hello,I just got home from Norwalk. One of the 7F6's was repaired some 35 years ago. We had about a dozen lookers today, but only 2 said they would be back.Probably the repair above both center ex. ports scared the rest away,so I sold the ARP bolts. Thanks

Ok. So the repair is water Jacket ish? If so yeah I’ll pass also. If I was restoring a car it would make sense but money wise probably not worth for me

Default 7F6 heads at Norwalk

I made it home from Norwalk at 9pm. I had at least a dozen more lookers today, and two said they would be back Sunday morning.Just to be clear the old repair was on the outside top of the center ex. ports. IT is from the header flange up 3/4 inch. The previous owner said he ran them for several years before I bought them. Thanks

Default Norwalk parts

Hello, most parts gone,I ran the ad so members could pick up at Norwalk. Derek,PM your needs. Tom V. I believe they are early B and C's as I packed them for the 2019 show. I may have 1 extra original early no code rod. I can check tomorrow.

Do not bother, I personally will not use any SD Rods with a letter code LESS THAN "E" as those "early rods" have the thin pin end forging. SD rods were produced all the way up to "M" rods in my experience (by Continental Teledyne in Muskegon, Michigan).

Default S.D> rods ,Norwalk

I have actually heard the later letters had problems. Maybe actual builders can post pictures of broken late S.D. rods. I still have 2 that bent, not broke, when a GM 455 crank broke off at number 2 main in the 70's..These were the very early when you could only get 4 at a time from a dealer. Andy

I agree, would be nice to see pictures of those LATER 455 SD rods that were broken.
