Default 1974 Trans Am SD-455 Automatic - Numbers Matching - 25 years off the road

$37K obo. Yard find that sat at least 25 years in dry Los Angeles. Previous owner passed away Feb. 2020 and I purchased it in August 2020. Originally sold at Bud Beck Pontiac in Scottsdale, AZ, according to the PHS. Original matching numbers motor and transmission. Original paint. Intake and carb are not original. Intake is a 455 HO and carb is a correct SD service replacement. Odometer shows 43,000 miles, TMU. After the cold start, which takes a few cranks, it starts on a dime and idles well, no smoke from the tail pipes. No ticks or noises from the motor, it’s making the power it should and very smooth. No rust in the usual spots, just a few bubbles on the lower passenger rear quarter and small area on the driver door, very minor. It was involved in a fender bender that did damage to the driver door where you see the primer (some bondo there) and the fender is most definitely a used replacement. The lower front valence has a few separations in it, but looks factory. There is no evidence of impact on the suspension or frame when inspecting from underneath. The floors and trunk do not have any rot. The undercarriage has not been cleaned, as I did not want to disturb anything or get it wet, but it is all sound and will clean up. Hood will need some alignment along with the replacement fender. Doors, trunk and hood open and close nicely. PHS states interior was red, but there is no evidence that is was ever red, even the experts that have looked at it say there is no way it was red. Notable options include A/C, Power Doors and Windows, Console and 8 Track Tape Player. I have all the A/C components except the condenser. Power locks do not work. Passenger window is stuck down, driver is up and will mobilize, but have not put it down for fear of it not going back up. Turn signals do not work. Driver headlight needs a new harness plug, but the harness is getting power. Over $5,000 was spent on the car since the previous owners passing. This included:
1) An excellent rebuild of the transmission and torque converter, it’s perfect and has a 2 year/24k mile nationwide warranty. New trans mount. Needs torque converter cover.
2) Rebuilt service replacement SD carburetor with epoxy treated bowls.
3) New fuel pump, soft fuel lines from tank to carb, sending unit.
4) New master cylinder, brake flush, wheel bearing repack. Will need new rotors.
5) Rear axle service with 85w-90 gear oil and friction modifier.
6) New polyurethane core support bushings, have the rest of the kit uninstalled for all other body mounts.
7) New battery.
8) Parts purchased and not yet installed: OER Fan Shroud, radiator isolator pads x4, fan clutch, fender to core support braces, trunk spring rod.

Clean California title in my name, ready to pass the torch. Please contact me for more info and more photos. It is posted on the Facebook Group: Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am Second Generation Buy Sell Trade.
