John Langer occasionally posts here. If anyone would actually know, it would be him. I'm sure he's researched this out. If there would be a horsepower increase, he would run it!

Last time i checked, the cranks break at the #2 Main due to a DEFICIENT front damper.
Therefore crank torsionals due to even power strokes have been moot. Cascaded Torsionals also rendered Moot due to cross-sectional awareness at the 7-8 journal. Herefore!, such swaps are all about the inhale manifold. Must be. Last edited by Half-Inch Stud; 07-21-2021 at 05:39 PM. |

Firing order connects to Plenum manifold distribution,Thermal grid and hit on crankshaft position.Traditional Pontiacs have the pass side cylinders ahead of the drivers side on the crank..Dyno testing We have done with 8 O2s.seeing cylinder variations. On a single 4 barrel we found a few HP with the 7-4-3-2 FO.But it came as a result of monitoring the O2s and some stagger jetting to deal with the intake manifold traffic..8-9 HP.The GM LS firing order was the best choice by GM engineers in deal;ing with the injectors rfi and harmonic noise..
