Default Need a release cable for a 1971-1974 seat

Looking for a release cable for my 1974 T/A. Must come from a 1971-1974 seat. Either side will do.

is the cable different for 1975-81?

I just sold a pair of 1971-74 seat tracks, but have a lonely 75-81 track here that I could pull the cable from.

1991 Grand Am: 14.4 @ 93.7mph (DA corrected) (retired DD, stock appearing)
2009 Cobalt SS: 13.9 @ 103mph (current DD; makes something north of 300hp & 350ft/lbs)

Yes, the ‘75-‘81 cable is shorter and won’t work.

ok - do you know how long yours need to be?

I ask because I have some Fiero seat tracks that I was thinking of tossing.

I have spare '70 seat tracks here somewhere, but since the release handle is in a different spot, I would assume they too use a different cable length.

I would have to measure the good one on the seat that is already installed. I doubt the Fiero cable is the same length.

Fiero cable won't work, too short.

Still looking.
