Does anybody no if a front bumper from an 85 and up trans am would fit an 82? Want the lower spoiler part and would have to buy the fender pieces.

I tried doing that in about 1985 to my then 1982 firebird. I went to the Pontiac dealer thinking there was a lower air damn to bolt on. But quickly found out it was a complete front end part. The parts guy went through his book and listed all of the stuff needed for the conversion, I had sticker shock and left. I think it can be accomplished though, from the edge of the hood back the sheet metal should be the same, may have to change/add some bracing I dont know what the under side looks like once the nose is off.

Another thing- the black plastic bezels surrounding the pop up headlights are a different part on the 82-84 Firebirds. they were redesigned in 1985 and have a larger diameter radius in the corners. It's possible they'll still function (not bind) as I've never tried it, but they won't align or look right. you'd need to switch these...
