Ac delco fuel pump rebuild
Has anyone found a company that rebuilds/restores fuel pumps. Pump is off my 76 trans am and I want to keep it all original. I remember you could buy a new or rebuilt pump back in the day. Thanks for any input

There used to be a place in southern California that rebuilt the crimp style pumps, with mixed fuel sealing resaults, but I can not seem to find them online now.

Fred Ballard is the fellow's name that restores the Unitac design (crimped) AC pumps.
Have several to send him, after bumper replating, the next $$$$ eater Frank Ballard 28916 Flowerpark Drive Canyon Country CA, 91387 (661) 251-2362 fredsclassics@hotmail.com

As a serious restoration services question & high quality service provided,
hopefully, a moderator will place this in the proper classic Tech forum: 74-76 Firebird.

Mopar b-body forum of July 2020: …This guy said he only does a few runs each year and has to have a minimum of 20 in a batch to keep the plating cost lower... anyway his name is Fred Ballard, google his name and the info will come up, kinda pricey but i want to keep all my original parts when possible..$250 for service and $25 for return shipping, all paid in advance... that part made me a little leery but we will see, he claims to have done over 1,500 of these crimp together pumps... check him out... Rich 7/21/2020 The price and batch requirements might have changed since that post. |

Fred just completed the rebuild of the pump for my 71 TA. I was happy with the results and just sent him a pump for my 67 Corvette.
