Interior install ......?
Had my Legendary interior installed locally for $550 that included seats covered, door panels, sail panels headliner and wind-lace installed. In addition to some other small negative things I noticed , the wind-lace looks off ... looks like extra space in door jam area... does this look right? Could they have installed them backwards🤦🏾? I still have the original lace.... will call Legendary tomorrow To inquire... thx

Yeah, that's an unbelievable price..especially with the headliner thrown in!
What year car is that? Is that the un-installed windlace in your hand? My '68 windlace had cardboard that extended back a couple of inches or more and screwed to the interior structure. That cardboard is then captured/hidden between the interior quarter panel upholstry and the door jamb. Found a pic here.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/35096886897...BoC3csQAvD_BwE

Here's a pic of my 70 GTO before being restored. Not saying it's original, just what it was like when I bought it.

I can't remember which way I installed mine, but here's how they look. The Legendary parts were pretty good, except to the windlace which gave me trouble. Eventually I got them in an ok place but it took some futzing. I think I installed them so the fringed edge was facing the inside towards the carpet?

Yes that's why I am willing to over look some things..... the seats where done like 3 years ago, he never took a penny until our schedules allowed me to get it back in.....

IIRC, 69 was a crossover year for the windlace. Late models would use the 70-72 version, early cars the 68 version.

My 70 looks just like your car before the install of the new interior. If MO did this work he has been doing interiors and convertible tops for a long time.

Exactly what Ed said above- there are two different styles- the cardboard sewn to the vinyl bead style which is what the OP is showing installed- which just lays next to the pinch weld, and the plastic welting style which actually goes over the top of the pinch.
